We feed Purina Pro Plan Puppy Chicken and Rice to all our puppies and Purina Pro Plan Sport to our adult dogs. It is a great food preferred by almost all professional show rings. There are several good foods out there just make sure it has a balanced nutrition. Also be aware of some of the health issues starting to be linked to grain free diets in larger breed dogs. A simple google search will provide you with multiple resources. We support a balanced diet of protein, vitamins, and carbs (often found in grains). We are also currently developing our own line of food that will be available for our families.
We know choosing the right puppy is important!! While physical appearance is part of the decision we are choosing personality as much as anything. That is why we use pictures, our Perfect Puppy Match Program, hours of livestream video, and detailed personality descriptions to compliment the process. We have spent years developing the Perfect Match puppy program. With our new Perfect Puppy questionnaire we will dig into exactly what you are looking for in a puppy. We will send you this quiz at around 5 to 6 weeks old. From your Perfect Puppy score we will then place you with the perfect puppy from your litter. Trust us on this process. We have spent the last decade watching families and puppies. We know that matching you to the perfect personality is foundational in the new addition to your family. Our goal is to make the next 13 to 15 years of your life the best so far!!
Absolutely you can visit!!! We love to show off our property and dogs. We have excellent biosecurity standards so we welcome visitors anytime!! Just give us a call to set up an appointment. Beware of breeders that won’t allow you to visit until time to pick up. There are resources available to allow visitors and protect the health of the puppies at the same time!!!
We get this question a lot and that’s ok!! We have been flying puppies home for over a decade and most of our puppies do fly to their new home. There are a few great and safe options that you should consider:
We have several options for payment. When you decide you want to move forward with reserving a puppy, we will take all your information (full name, mailing address, phone, and email) and send you over an invoice for your review. Please do not send us a deposit unless you have received this email. The invoice will contain your puppy or litter choice and expected go home date. If all looks good on the invoice you can make the deposit payment directly through the email. All major credit cards, PayPal, and Venmo are accepted. We do not take final payment until you either pick up in person or flights have been confirmed.
We give two rounds of immunizations to our puppies. Puppy health and safety is are #1 concern. We have worked with the developer of NeoTech Vaccines to develop the most ideal vaccination schedule. Our puppies are wormed at 2,3,4, and 6 weeks old with Pyrantel. We give NeoPar (Parvo Vaccine) at 5 & 7 weeks old. We give NeoVac DA2 (Canine Distemper Adenovirus Type 2 Vaccine) at 6 and 8 weeks old. NeoTech Vaccines have been proven to work through maternal antibodies at a younger age and have a longer lasting immunity. Your vet will more than likely pick up with a 5in1 vaccine at the next scheduled immunization.
We implant a small microchip on top of your puppies back. You will then register this microchip with the AKC Home Again program. If your puppy is ever found outside of your care the chip can be scanned and your contact information will be provided. PLEASE DO THIS IMMEDIATELY WHEN YOU RECEIVE YOUR PUPPY!!!
The interaction we give with our puppies is one important factor that sets us apart. We want puppies to be accustomed and wanting human interaction by the time they go home. This includes the home modules that all our puppies go through in the Snowy Pines Puppy University Program. Please click here for tons of details on what this program looks like. We like to say “the first time your puppy goes home is not the first time they have been home” 🙂
All our bloodlines average in the high 60’s to high 70’s. Females can often be a few pounds smaller than males but in an average litter the smallest to largest puppy will only be differentiated by 3 to 5 pounds.
